Children’s Hospital Tough Kid’s Challenge | Get a Free Trek Bicycle, Helmet and T-Shirt
The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis has again offered the Tough Kids Challenge. The program is for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade aged children. A valid birth certificate, school report card or other proof of age is required. Registration is now closed for the Tough Kids program. All classes and waiting lists are full, make sure you are on our email list to stay up to date for next year. If you have a child that would like to participate in the education only protions of the Tough Kids program you can register them here.
Please support these kids and cheer them on. They are Tulsa Tough! Anyone can ride the Townie ride with the kids, parents and sibling are encouraged to participate. Register for the Townie ride here.
This year Tough Kids will be completing the following to earn their bike:
1. Attend a Safe Escape class conducted by the Crime Commission.
2. Complete take-home worksheet on bike safety.
3. Attend a Skills & Drills class on bicycle handling.
4. Participate in the Tulsa Townie ride at Tulsa Tough, Sunday May 31st.

Kid’s Activities
Tulsa Tough is a family-friendly event. Sunday’s festival will feature a Kid’s Zones with inflatable game activities and other recreation along the river parks. On Saturday May 30th at 2:35pm there will be a short distance kid’s bike race with medals for all participants. There are no age requirements or entry fees for the kids races, volunteers will direct you and your child to the appropriat staging place for the kids races. (Helmets are required)
LAJORS Races
Tulsa Tough is designated as a Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Racing Series event and conducts races for all USA Cycling Junior Categories. Races for all Junior categories will be run at the same time but scored separately. Details and registration can be found on the racing page.
