Bike Art
Tulsa is a friendly-type place, hoping to welcome everyone with open arms. Cyclists and other travelers will soon be greeted at the Tulsa International Airport with Saint Francis Tulsa Tough signage, electronic art and of course, bikes.
Meeks Group has again provided Saint Francis Tulsa Tough with great art to promote this event to the city while also making visiting cyclists feel welcome. Additionally, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will proudly display Art Bike Tulsa 2012 at the airport. This installation of colorful, uniquely-designed bicycles, transformed by some of Tulsa’s leading artists, brings awareness to the incurable, progressive disease of Multiple Sclerosis.
“ With the art bikes on display in the Tulsa International Airport during the time that Tulsa Tough participants will be arriving, we hope to create more awareness of biking and the two organizations – Tulsa Tough and National MS Society,” said Brandi Moore of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. “We want viewers to see how Tulsa supports the cycling community and we are showing this in a fun and new way with these art bikes.”
Art Bike Tulsa 2012 will be on display from May 9 to May 21, at the Williams Towers in downtown Tulsa, which coincides with Tulsa International Mayfest, set for May 17 to May 20, 2012. See the bikes there, or check them out during their display at the Tulsa International Airport from May 21 to Sept. 14, 2012.
